On April 22, 2014, Dr. Mohl sat down with Worldwide Who's Who to share the details of his experience in social work. He revealed that when he was in the Army from 1956-1958 and Army Reserves from 1958-1960, it helped solidify his passion for social work.
Working as a medical social worker at Letterman Army Hospital and psychiatric social work specialist at Madigan was what convinced him to go into the social work field.
He then went on to earn his Master of Social Work in 1960 and PhD in Health and Human Services in 1991.
An important turning point in Dr. Mohl's life is from 1980-1984: he developed a family unit in a community-based agency after he received funding. He is currently the president of the International Psychohistorical Association.
Dr. Mohl has won many awards and titles, such as the American Biographical Institute's American Civil Liberties Union International Peace Prize in 2005 and membership in Marquis Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care.
